About Us
Alpha Chi Omega was founded in 1885 in Greencastle, Indiana at Depauw University. We are a women's organization dedicated to empowering real, strong women to reach their potential through a lifelong experience of sisterhood, service, and leadership development. Our chapter here at University of Iowa, the Sigma Chapter, was founded in 1911. We hold ourselves to our 5 values known as our pillars.

Academic Interest
Alpha Chi Omega believes in the importance of intellectual development and encourages sound scholarship and academic achievement.

Alpha Chi Omega expects members to accept and reflect moral integrity and dignity, social awareness, and fraternity loyalty.
Financial Responsibility
Alpha Chi Omega expects members to be responsible for the prompt payment of all dues and fees and other financial commitment.

Alpha Chi Omega believes the character, personality, and leadership are developed through participation in campus activities, and encourages each collegian to be interested in her community.
